Ugh, COVID… Why do I still feel overwhelmed when we’re more than a year into this?

There is so much that can be said about COVID-19 and the tremendous impacts it has left on all of us across the world. This pandemic has been unlike anything we have ever experienced. There really was no warning, preparation, or handbook on how to handle it.

One of the most important things to take note of is the fact that what we all experienced in 2020 (and are still in the process of) was a form of trauma, on a global scale. No matter where you are in the world, no matter how the virus has affected your life and your loved ones… it has definitely affected everyone.

That is, well… a lot to take in. It is natural to feel overwhelmed. We are all human, after all. This is exactly why it is so very important to be conscious of your mental health and emotional state, so that you can address when you are feeling overwhelmed and you need some of that weight to be removed from your shoulders.

If you are feeling stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, sad, confused, or even hopeless, please know that you are not alone. It is okay to need support and to search for it. COVID has overwhelmed us all, and just because it has been more than a year that does not mean we are desensitized to it. It is okay to still feel like it’s too much. It is. Nevertheless, there is help, and if you are reading this, you are in the right place please call us at (561) 440-3601.
